Azure Public IPs
Saturday 26th February, 2022 13:37
Next time you rebuild a server in Azure, try to remember to move the old public IP across to the new VM before deleting the old Resource Group and losing the old IP forever. The new public IP I was given had some mail abuse associated with it about a fortnight ago, which caused a slight bit of pain that could have been avoided if I'd moved the IP (as well as avoided updating a DNS entry).
Career Break
Saturday 26th February, 2022 00:59
Part of the reason I haven't worked on Nmap or blogged much over the last few years is because my old contract meant my previous employer could claim it as their intellectual property. But now that I've resigned and finished working my notice period, I'm currently unemployed/self-employed/having a career break/whatever I'm calling this (it's not a mid-life crisis), so you may see more content here this year. At least until I get a new job. For now I'm relaxing, unwinding, and hoping to write a novel (or three).
