Nearly finished the book by Jessica Adams. Also listening to music on my mobile as I type this with predictive text. Just read a line that's made me very hungry: "We\'re like baked beans and cheese, when you can\'t tell what's the cheese and what's the baked beans any more".

I dont know how this works but i wanted to "test" it. When you said about filtering out nasties i thought you meant like "fuck" and "twat" so i wanted to swear and see what would appear - i know realise that was not what you meant! Me

Doh! Of course, it treated everything after the < character as being inside a tag, so it got removed. Here's what I was trying to say, without the second example of writing fuck:

People always find imaginative ways to get around word filters (e.g. "fcuk", "f.u.c.k"), and I'm too lazy to write (or steal the code for) anything like that (it has to be done properly, otherwise I can never use the word Scunthorpe properly, not that I plan on using it often). I just don't want this site to get hacked, I guess that's the IT Security Consultant in me being extra vigilant, as I'm normally paid to find big holes like that in other people's code. The downside is I don't (currently) let you post clickable URLs, which means I can't either (I'll possibly change it so my account lets me post what I like - or at least allow bbtags so I can do italic text and normal links).

We both had the same teachers for several years, so you have no excuse (or if you do, let me know and it'll become my excuse too). All my mistakes are typos ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typo ), honest. If... okay, when... I made really silly mistakes I used to go back into the database to fix it so no one could tell. Perhaps I'll let people edit their own comments in future.

Okay, it's gone midnight, I'm off to bed. Not that I'll fall asleep for ages.
