Square Pegs in Round Holes

Ozil is best in the middle so we play him out wide and play Cazorla, who is good out wide, in the centre.

Podolski can't play as a central striker, but we play him there and keep Alexis Sanchez, who can play up front, out wide.

We played the second half with all four fit defenders on the pitch. We were, and could quite easily be again, one injury away from Flamini playing in the back four. Flamini, who rarely plays a game without committing a cynical foul earning him a yellow card, playing out of position where he could be the last man/in the penalty area earning a red card and maybe a penalty.

There's one day left in the transfer window. We're clearly short of a striker and a centre back, and a defensive midfielder wouldn't hurt. It feels like the 2013 season all over again, except this time I'm not sure we'll win anything.
