Bond Is Back

But not until 2012. Daniel Craig will return for a third outing, with Sam Mendes directing.

I grew up watching Pierce Brosnan play Bond on the big screen (I've only ever seen the previous Bond movies on TV) and I suspect he'll always be my favourite. There were only a few things that annoyed me about Brosnan's time as Bond: the over the top product placement, really poor CGI in some of the movies (not his fault), the lack of chemistry with Halle Berry (not really his fault) and the occasional dodgy line in the script (again, probably not his fault). I remember enjoying the dark start to Die Another Day, with Bond sporting a beard, and it was rumoured that Quentin Tarantino wanted to film Casino Royale with Brosnan, which I imagine would have been great (Kill Bill was filmed just before that time). I would have loved to watch that. Sadly it didn't happen, and then we even ended up with a blonde Bond!
