Aria's New Site

Aria have a new site design that's in beta. Want to know more? Lucy and Robin have made a very wooden introduction video. It's not meant to be funny, but it is.

And this pink lava massager looks very dodgy. As is Aria's beta site, it looks like you can put random words into the breadcrumbs (where it says "You are here"):

The proper URL (I think, it's not exactly clear how you link to a product anymore): http://beta.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials//Lava+Massager+Pink+++?productId=24576

What it should be called: http://beta.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials//Pink+Lava+Vibrator+++?productId=24576

I don't like it. I think it's a big step down from the easy to view old site :(

Grumble grumble...

I don't like it either, I get a scrollbar at the bottom in IE7, as the site is 1px too wide, and I can't seem to view stuff in a nice and simple way like you could with the old site. However, I am biased as I don't usually like change.

The URL has all these silly numbers in it (which, when converted from ASCII back to a string, appears to be the URL that was clicked). The start of the URL seems to remain fixed at your entry point, with your browsing handled by the URI bit with the numbers. I should look into it properly, but it's so messy and ugly.
